TAKE CONTROL NOW

We always check our hair, but the majority of women rarely check their boobs. ghd has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness of how important it is to check every single month.

So why do most of us not check regularly for breast cancer when we all know someone who has been affected by this disease? I know that personally I check, but only every once in a while. I suppose, it’s just another thing to do on the long list of jobs that w e all have.

I found that the easiest way for me to remember how to check your breasts on a regular basis is to do it when you just had your hair done. Let’s face it, it’s every 4-6 weeks we are in getting our colour topped up. The best time to do a monthly self-breast exam is about 3 to 5 days after your period starts. Do it at the same time every month. Your breasts are not as tender or lumpy at this time in your monthly cycle.
